A Muslim Invites to Allah Almighty According to His Ability

Question :
Because we studied in America, we have been asked to give lectures about Christianity and Judaism. Can we give such lectures?

Answer :
Yes, you may speck about them in accordance with your knowledge, but it is not allowed to speak about them, nor other subjects without knowledge. It is well known that the Shari'ah of the Tawrah and the Injil are among those that Allah Almighty sent down to His Messenger, codes that were suited to the people and their conditions at the time of revelation. And Allah Almighty is All-Wise, All-Knowledgeable in what He legislates and decrees. Allah Almighty says:
To each among you, We have prescribed a law and clear way.
"To each among you, We have prescribed a law and clear way."
Al-Ma'idah 5:48
In Surat Al-Ma'idah after mentioning the revelation of the Tawrah, the Injil, and the Qur'an, Allah Almighty says:
Certainly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.
"Certainly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing."
Al-An'am 6:83
Then the Christians and the Jews distorted and changed the contents of their Shari'ah, inserting into them what didn't belong there.
Then Allah sent His Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him with a universal massage, to every human being and jinn. He prescribed a common Shari'ah for them all, thus abrogating the Shari'ah of the Tawrah and the Injil. He made it obligatory for everyone on the earth to follow the Shari'ah that He revealed to Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, to follow it solely in place of all other sources of law. Allah Almighty addresses His Prophet Peace Be Upon Him in Surat Al-Ma'idah saying:
And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him) the Book (this Qur'an) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and Muhayminan (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (Previous Scriptures). So Judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law a clear way.
"And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him) the Book (this Qur'an) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and Muhayminan (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (Previous Scriptures). So Judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law a clear way."
Al-Ma'idah 5:48.
He also said:
But no, by you Lord, they can have no faith, until they make you (Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.
"But no, by you Lord, they can have no faith, until they make you (Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission."
An-Nisa' 4:65.
And
Do they then seek the judgement of (the Days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm faith.
"Do they then seek the judgement of (the Days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm faith."
Al-Ma'idah 5:50.
There are many other Verses that give a similar meaning. Whoever reads the Qur'an reflectively, seeking benefit thereby, Allah Almighty will guide him to the truth, for He says:
Verily, this Qur'an guides to that which is most just and right.
"Verily, this Qur'an guides to that which is most just and right."
Al-Isra' 17:9.
Ibn Baz
