How can we reconcile between

Question :
How can we reconcile these two Verses:
Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He wills.
"Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He wills."
An-Nisa 4 : 48.
and the Words of Him, the Most High:
And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes and righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing in them.
"And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes and righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing in them."
Ta'Ha20 : 82.
And is there any contradictions between them?

Answer :
There is no contradiction between them; the first Verse deals with the case of a person who dies committing Shirk, without turning to Allah in repentance - for him there is no forgiveness and his eternal dwelling place is the Fire as Allah the Most High Glorified says:
Verify, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him and the Fire will be his abode and for the Thulium (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers.
"Verify, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him and the Fire will be his abode and for the Thulium (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers."
Al-Ma'idah 5 : 72.
Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic says:
But if they had joiner in worship other with Allah, all that they used to do would have been of no benefit to them.
"But if they had joiner in worship other with Allah, all that they used to do would have been of no benefit to them."
Al-An'am 6 : 88.
The Verses which carry this meaning are numerous. As for the second Verse, Allah's Words:
And veriy, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds and then remains constant in doing them (till death).
"And veriy, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds and then remains constant in doing them (till death)."
Ta'Ha 20 : 82.
it is the truth regarding those who turn in repentance (to Allah) and this is why Allah say:
Say :
"Say : "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Az-Zumar 39 : 53.
Soholars are in agreement that these Verses concern those who turn to Allah in repentance. And Allah is the Granter of success.
